Attitude of mind

May 29, 7.30am

Its time I get back to my blog. I haven't written since one month. My mind just wouldn't throw out words. I read a super article today, and I had to write about it.

This is again from "Sai Satcharitra". The story goes as follows -

One person was trying to understand one of the upanishads, and no one could help him in understanding. He finally went to Sai Baba, and was told that a maid will help him in understanding. The next day, when he was doing his morning chores, he heard a beautiful voice singing - a girl washing vessels happily in the house. The song was about a sari, describing the embroidery, border, zari. Seeing the girl wearing a torn ragged sari, this person felt pity and hence bought a beautiful sari for the girl. The girl was very excited and happy on seeing the gift, she wore the sari and was very merry, dancing around in it.

The next day the girl folded the saree in a box, and was back to work wearing her old torn sari. And she was happily singing and jumping around as if she didn't have a care in the world. The guy was mesmerized seeing this.

Being happy is just an "attitude of mind". You don't need certain things to be present in your life to be happy.
