Imperfect :)

A thought or fact has been running in my head for many weeks. And finally here it is!

Whether we acknowledge it or not, there is this craze for perfection - in EVERYTHING! I may not believe it if someone says they don't crave perfection. It is so much built in us in subtle and obvious ways. Let me give an example, don't we want to eat a perfectly cooked dish? A perfect dress, a perfect book, a perfect friend, a perfect school, a perfect holiday, a perfect conversation, a perfect relationship, a perfect handwriting, a perfect art ...... the list goes on. And this perfectionism we seek gets disguised in so many forms - neatness, cleanliness, beauty, achievement, being the best, being a topper, using the full potential, energetic, smartness, bravery - again the list is endless - but these are the words and phrases we use for feeling perfect.

But to be able to see the wholeness of everything, we need to accept or see ourselves and the world outside for

what it is

and

not what we want it to be

We are not perfect, the world is not perfect - BUT still we are exactly the way we are supposed to be and the world is exactly the way it is supposed to be. 😁😀 An oxymoron? A big NO! I don't want to explain this as it is upto each one of us to realize this fact on our own. Give it a thought! And we will start being conscious of how we think and live our life. It could lead to living life in a peaceful manner 😍 as it will help in saying and believing that

its ok if the dish is not perfect

it is ok if we don't have that perfect dress

it is ok if we don't get that job (because we will get a better one)

IT IS OK!

Well there is no other way if we want to live in peace or happily.

I use the word perfect so many times, but we can re-define the meaning of any word 😊
