A human rainbow

I heard someone use the words human sunshine or human rainbow!

I have fallen in love with the phrase and I have been constantly thinking about it. Being a human sunshine or a human rainbow - can we be a human sunshine/rainbow? We can interpret the meaning of a human sunshine/rainbow any way we want. When we hear the words sunshine and rainbow it brings a smile to most of us. The words make me think about cheer, happiness, bright, chirpy, goodness, hope and something positive. It made me wonder if we can be a human sunshine/rainbow to someone who needs to see a rainbow and smile at a particular moment. It may not be easy, but if we have the intent, it might be possible. Each one and each moment may need a different kind of rainbow and if we take the time to identify that, it may be possible to bring a smile on someone's face when they need it.

There is so much more to these words than just making someone smile. But I am finding it hard to express. It kind of also means, to be a rainbow not just to someone, but to just be a rainbow whether someone is there to see it or not.

Can we all try to be a beautiful rainbow ? 😁 💗

Follow

This is more like a prelude to my next post. Not literally, but this thought came up while I was thinking about my next post. So everytime an idea comes to my head for my blog, the first line automatically comes. So I wanted to start my next post with these words - As many of you know by now, I follow many people and few things these people say stay with me forever - well, this trigerred another thought and hence this post 😊

When I say I follow few people, what does it really mean? Many of us follow/listen to people online, based on our interests. We watch, we get inspired, we forget, we ignore, we pause, we think. And sometimes it makes a HUGE difference in our lives when we listen - listening to the famous people online or listening to our friends/family. Is it easier to listen to unknown famous people compared to known people who may be our family or friends? Do we feel that only we know whats best for us? Of course we do, but is there anything wrong in listening to others? We never know what we may realize in that process. Each one has his/her own experiences, but I feel we somehow struggle to accept that we might learn something from someone else's experience. Is it because we feel we know more or better than someone else? Or do we feel listening to others may make us feel weak?

Listening to others has helped me a lot in my journey. I am not saying that listening all the time or listening to everything others have to offer helps. But choosing what to listen to, or at least being open to listening and discussing have lot of merits. We are after all social beings, so no matter how independent we think we are, we all are inter connected!

Hope we dance

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder

I hope you get your fill to eat, but always keep that hunger

May you never take one single breath for granted

God forbid love ever leave you empty handed

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean

Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens

Promise me that you will give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance

I hope you dance, I hope you dance

I so needed to hear this song today. The above are the lyrics from a country song sung by Lee Ann Womack and written by Mark Sanders and Tia Sillers. It has been one of my favourite songs since a decade and it always uplifts my mood. I love playing this song to my kids as the lyrics are so meaningful.

Today my little one played this song for me and the timing was perfect. It reminds me that no matter what, we should not forget to see the beauty in everything! We should never give up on living a gorgeous life. We fall only to rise up, we feel weak at times only to get stronger, we despair only to become more hopeful! The song tells me to be humble and to find joy in the day to day little things. My Sunday was a simple day, spent alone cherishing all the little things life has to offer! Starting off with a walk, talking to friends, having my coffee and finishing most of my weekend chores I was in awe staring at the amazing ever changing sky throughout the day!
